The Colours of Procida: A Summer Inspired by an Italian Island

Spalvingi Procidos salos namai Italijoje

There are places where colours seem brighter, the sun feels warmer and life moves just a little more slowly.
Procida — a small Italian island in the Bay of Naples, where pastel-coloured façades slope down towards the blue sea, the stones along the shore grow warm in the sun, and boats drift slowly across the horizon.

It was this atmosphere, these colours and the small details of summer that inspired the story behind the latest LIGHT BREEZE collection. Airy silhouettes, natural fabrics and colours reminiscent of summer days by the Mediterranean.

Colours Inspired by the Island

Procida’s charm lies in its colours. Soft yellow recalls sunlit façades, pink echoes the warm hues of the island’s houses, while blue reflects the sky and the sea that surrounds it.

These shades also feature in the new LIGHT BREEZE balloon shorts — butter yellow, soft pink and blue.

Their light, rounded silhouette lends the collection a playful feel, while the colours pair effortlessly with soft tones.

Alongside the pastels, there is also grey — a calmer, deeper shade reminiscent of the stones and rocks along the island’s coast. It brings subtle contrast to the collection’s palette and highlights the lighter summer tones.

When Your Gaze Turns to the Horizon

From Procida’s colourful houses, the eye naturally wanders towards the sea. In the distance, a boat appears against the blue horizon.

This view inspired one of the collection’s most distinctive details — the shirt with a sailor-style collar. The soft vanilla shade and nautical detail subtly evoke the coast, travel and slow summer days by the Mediterranean.

Another new shirt design also retains the warm vanilla shade, but its character comes from lace inserts and gathered sleeves. Romantic details give the design a more distinctive feel while preserving LIGHT BREEZE’s signature lightness.

Vanilla — a Warmer Summer White

Not every light summer tone needs to be snow white. The vanilla shade featured in this collection is warmer and softer, and pairs beautifully with Procida’s palette of pastel façades.

We see it not only in the new shirts, but also in the ‘Petal’ shorts. Their rounded edges resemble flower petals, giving the design a light, feminine silhouette.

Paired with a shirt in the same colour palette, they create a cohesive, light look; styled with the collection’s pale blue, pink or yellow pieces, they make for a fresher, more playful summer outfit.

White — the Light of a Mediterranean Summer

Alongside warm vanilla and pastel shades, the collection also introduces pure white.

The white linen set is the collection’s purest colour note — light, fresh and versatile. White evokes the bright southern sun, white seaside houses and the light that feels even more intense along the Mediterranean coast.

The shirt and lightweight trousers can be worn together as a complete set or separately, paired with other pieces from the collection.

A Summer That Needs So Little

Sometimes, all summer needs is one light, effortless piece.

That is why the collection also includes a shorter version of the linen slip dress. Its clean silhouette, slender straps and natural fabric preserve the design’s signature simplicity and femininity.

This is a dress for hot days, travel and evenings by the sea — for moments when you want to dress with ease and give your outfit no further thought.

The Little Details That Make a Summer

Procida inspires through more than any single colour or shape. It is sun-warmed pastel façades, the blue sea, a rocky shoreline, narrow streets and a boat passing somewhere on the horizon.

This collection is about an unhurried summer.

About colours that change with the sun. About the sea breeze. About clothes that are not only beautiful to wear, but wonderful to live in.

And about that feeling we sometimes bring home from our travels — the desire to keep a little more summer in our everyday lives.
